Woog. Been a while since I actually wrote anything here, like it's read anyway...life is pretty good. I've got training for my job at Red Robin in Avon coming up, hopefully, so I'll probably be making some money soon after that. Christmas is also coming, which means I'll hopefully be the happiest kid in the world if I get what I'm asking for...

Being a pretty mild PC gamer, I am begging for a better GPU, preferably a Radeon 4850 or GeForce 9800GTX to replace my crappy GeForce 8400 - which has served me well nonetheless. But I think it's time to be able to run Crysis at more than 15 FPS at 800x600 resolution on Medium settings Just let me play that, and Assassin's Creed - and Mass Effect, and Dawn of War II, and Far Cry 2, etc - at higher settings, and I'll be happy. Therefore, the art world here has taken a break - AGAIN.

Speaking of which, I have a real commission from one of my classmates. I'm drawing Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad, from Assassin's Creed, which I'll really like doing anyway, as I LOVE that game and can't wait for number II. It's just that the guy has to GET the money before he can pay me, which means I'm waiting until I'm sure he has the money. No more free drawings for anyone anymore...unless it's a good friend's birthday or someone died or I want to give an example of my work to my church. So essentially, no drawing for a while, I guess. I will try to get around to doing that portrait of Snape for poor Maria, though

I'm also pretty pissed about Windows 7. Believe me, it's a great operating system, the best I've used. However, I won't be getting my free upgrade copy after all. I just purchased this nice new computer in August, and was told I would receive a free upgrade, but the idiots at Microsoft weren't smart enough to anticipate the number of orders they would get for this free thing, so the site they used to process the orders kinda got overloaded and pretty never works now. And apparently my request didn't even get past processing, as did thousands of others. Which means I'm stuck with my copy of Windows 7 Release Candidate, which will expire in March 2010. Piss! I guess I'll just save up and buy it myself.

And on a side note, the Horus Heresy series in Warhammer 40,000 is quite an amazingly awesome story. Gotta love Games Workshop. Lupercal!
